One-Day Camps

The Machia Wilderness Camp is again excited to be able to offer three one day camps to former campers.  Each of these camps will focus on developing the camper’s skills and knowledge in the activity of the day.

Fishing Camp:

An opportunity to spend a day fishing and learn some new fishing skills.  We will learn to tie our own flies, ending the day fly fishing. This camp will take place Date TBD from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. (There will be a $15.00 charge to cover cost of materials. Limit 10)

Land Navigation Camp:

This camp will offer a day in the woods honing compass and map reading skills under the expert tutelage of Dennis Briggs.  While walking through the woods we will learn what plants we can eat, use as medicine and which to stay away from.  This camp will take place Date TBD from 9:00 am to 4:00pm. (There will be a $15.00 charge to cover cost of materials. Limit 10)

Bow Hunter Education:

This will be a day of learning the ins and outs of hunting with a bow ending the day with the bow test and presentation of earned Vermont Hunter Education Bow cards. This camp will take place Date TBD beginning at 9:00 am. (There will be no charge for this session. Limit 20)
